VIKINGS COMMUNITY CHEERLEADING
Bringing Cheer to Our Community Through Service!
Vikings Community Cheerleading, located in University Place, Washington, is a non-profit, recreational cheerleading squad for ages 6-18. We were founded in 2009 on the belief that cheerleading can and should promote positive values, build self-esteem, and foster a sense of community. VCC is dedicated to supporting our local Junior Vikings Football teams, providing community service in and around University Place, and cheering at a recreational level.
This 2026 season, our program is undergoing a few major transitions; first, the competition side of our program is not active for this season. We have spent the last 9 years and especially the last 4 building a competitive squad worthy of multiple National Championships! We have supported our athletes aspirations, encouraged them to work harder than ever before and guided them through some of young life’s most challenging experiences. We look back at this time of countless volunteer hours, of loving support with more pride than there are words to convey. The love we have for every athlete who has trusted us to be a part of their journey is immeasurable. We are unsure what the future holds for the competition side of our program but we are doing all we can to keep that door open for future athletes. Secondly, our head coach for the past 9 seasons, Coach Kaylee has decided it is time for her to move on. Kaylee was an 18 year old fresh out of high school when she came to VCC. Her dedication to this volunteer organization, deep love for cheer and her ability to connect with her athletes made her a fiercely dedicated coach. Our program would not be where it is today without all she gave and no parent or athlete will ever forget that. Thank you Coach Kaylee, we love you! 💙

Jayla Gomillion

Hi! I’m Jayla Gomillion, I have been with VCC for 4 years now and this will be my second year coaching. I love being able to meet new people through this program. Ever since I started cheer back in 2023 I’ve been in love with it, so getting to watch you guys grow through VCC and see your love for this sport is so much fun! I’m so excited to come back for the 26-27 season!

Mykira Denton-Kidd
Coach
Hello! My name is Mykira Denton-Kidd and this will be my second year as a coach for VCC, I’m so excited for this new season! I started cheering at VCC/VEC in 2023 and have been in love with it ever since. My favorite thing about coaching is not just teaching my cheerleaders how to cheer but teaching them how to be confident and how to work as a team.

Evie Bethel
Coach
Hi! My name is Evie Bethel and I’ve been cheering with VCC since 2022. This year will be my first coaching sideline and I am so excited for the 2026 season! It’s been such a great opportunity to cheer with this group and I hope all our new members fall in love with cheer just like I did.💙

FLORENCE MCDONALD
President
The last thing I ever thought I'd be is a cheer mom! My daughter, Zaryah, fell in love on day one, watching her work so hard and seeing her confidence grow made me fall right along with her. VCC's commitment to inclusion, building up with positive encouragement and community service, is what makes it an organization I am proud to be a part of. 💙
Vice President
Hi, I am Vergie and I have been a supportive cheer auntie for the last six years helping behind the scenes! I am now officially going into my 3rd year as a cheer mama. My daughter Crimson has been wanting to cheer since she could talk, always looking up to her big cousin. I am excited to have joined the board last year as Treasurer and I am looking forward to continuing to support this amazing organization in any way I can!
